UPDATE: Another Local Politician Looking To Be A Party Leader

April 6th, 11:00am – UPDATE: Kellie Leitch has thrown her hat into the ring, filing all the paperwork needed to run for the leader of the Conservative Party.


April 6th, 7:00am – Whispers are getting louder that Simcoe Grey MP Kellie Leitch will jump this week into the federal conservative leadership race. She was first elected in 2011 and served as Minister of Labour and Status of Women for Stephen Harper. Muskoka MP Tony Clement is also said to be considering a leadership bid. The convention to choose a new leader is still a year away.
