Diner Gives Waiter $750 Tip to Go Home for Holidays

An Irish-born waiter, Ben Millar, working in Houston, Texas wanted to take his pregnant girlfriend on a trip to Ireland to visit his family, but couldn’t quite save up the money.
During his shift, he got into a discussion with a couple about their mutual love of the band U2. According to The Independent, the couple told Ben they’d just been to Ireland to see U2 perform and Ben jokingly said “Wow, I wish I could go back there for a weekend and visit my family”.
The bill worked out to $122.87, but they left a $750 tip with a note that read “hopefully, this can get you back to Ireland for the holidays”.
