Kid Locks Parents Out of iPad for 48 Years

...or 25,536,442 minutes

This has probably happened to anyone with a toddler. You give them your phone or tablet to distract them so you can finally get that thing done that you’ve been trying to do for about a week. All of a sudden…you’re locked out of your device.

It happened to Evan Osnos. His three-year-old managed to lock him out of his iPad for 25, 536, 442 minutes…aka 48 years. He posted on Twitter asking for help:

Apparently the warnings start with something simple like 30 seconds and goes up incrementally from there. But after an hour…the time goes up to something like 365,000 minutes.

The good news is to get around the 48 year lock out all you have to do is reset your iPad or iPhone using iTunes. The bad news is it may require a hard reset, which means you’ll lose all your data.
