Elon Musk Sent a Tesla Into Space

The Jetsons have nothing on Elon Musk. He launched the Tesla Roadster into space yesterday and tweeted some pretty spectacular visuals.

His plan is for the car, which has “Don’t Panic!” stamped on the dashboard and David Bowie blasting on the speakers to cruise through space for potentially millions of years. The projected path of the Roadster will bring it close to Mars, so there is a chance it will crash land onto the planet.
The car was sent into space by SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy. The most powerful rocket in operation. It was launched yesterday from Cape Canaveral.
