Arnold Schwarzenegger Would Have Run for President

"This was a very good time to get in the race"

Former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger told Adweek in an interview released yesterday that he would have entered the 2016 presidential race if he could have.

“If I’d been born in America, I would’ve run, because now? This was a very good time to get in the race.”

The Constitution states only a person who is a natural born U.S. citizen is eligible to be president so Austrian-born Schwarzenegger is unable to run.

He tweeted earlier this year that he will be casting his vote against the Republican party for the first time since becoming a citizen in 1983.

Ironically, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be taking over for Trump on Celebrity Apprentice, which airs January 2nd.
