Computer Taught To Paint Like Dutch Master

Database of Rembrandt's Work Used To Instruct Software

I don’t know art, but I know what I like, and I like this new program. A team of technologist working with high end software companies like Microsoft, have created a program called The Next Rembrandt that has produced a painting in the style of dutch master. The process took two years. The computer studied a library of Rembrandt’s work and was told to create a piece as much like his style as possible while still original. Take a look at the finished work posted below. It won’t replace the old master, but it’s pretty close.
