Woman Sought In Theft Attempt At Grocery Store

Escaped In Honda Civic

theftBarrie Police hoping you can help them identify a woman wanted for the attempted theft of groceries from Loblaws on Bayfield Street just before 7 o’clock Saturday night. Surveillance video shows items had been placed in a reusable bag with no no attempt made to pay for them. When approached by store security, the suspect dropped the groceries and fled in a what appeared to be a silver/grey Honda Civic with two bicycles in a bike rack on the back. Licence plate may began with the letters BVZA. The suspect is described as:

  • Female, white
  • Slim build, 5’5”
  • 25-35 yrs.
  • Long dark hair pulled back into a braided ponytail
  • Wearing a black hat, white tank top, dark jeans and a tattoo on right shoulder
