A 17-year-old Pickering boy, wanted in the death this week of an Orillia man, has been arrested.

In addition, OPP have identified the victim as 25-year-old Jordan Carter-Bonfield. He was found early Monday morning in medical distress in a coffee shop parking lot near Westmount and Woodside Drives in Orillia after what police called a violent incident on a nearby trail. he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 20-year-old Orillia man has been charged with Accessory After The Fact.

OPP have made one arrest and are seeking a second suspect in the death this week of a man found in a coffee shop parking lot in Orillia.

A seventeen-year-old Pickering boy is wanted on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.

The victim was found in medical distress in the parking lot on Westmount Drive near Woodside after what police called a violent altercation on a nearby trail.

July 30th

A manhunt underway in Orillia, after a man was pronounced dead at an area coffee shop this morning. The OPP confirm a criminal investigation is underway after reports came in of a man in medical distress at a coffee shop on Westmount Drive around 7:30 Monday morning. Police are currently looking for a suspect in connection to this, while OPP Sgt. Peter Leon is asking area residents to keep their distance.

“We are dealing with what we believe to be an isolated incident at this time.” says Leon, “but if any member of the public sees an individual that appears to be out of place or is acting in a peculiar or strange manner, please contact the OPP immediately by calling 911.”

The victim’s identity has yet to be released.
