Hostage-Taking Turns Deadly In Bangla Desh
20 killed, several wounded
Twenty foreigners have been killed, 13 rescued, in a hostage-taking at an upscale restaurant in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Six heavily-armed militants stormed the restaurant. They were killed by paramilitary forces after a ten-hour standoff. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack. There are reports the victims were killed with sharp instruments, some of them beheaded. Six of the wounded are in critical condition.
