Crew Member From ‘The Dirt’ Suing Netflix And Mötley Crüe After Sustaining Injuries On Set

Netflix and Mötley Crüe are reportedly getting sued by a crew member who sustained severe injuries on the set of recent biopic The Dirt.

The new movie, which stars Machine Gun Kelly, Iwan Rheon, Douglas Booth, and Daniel Webber as the renowned rockers, hit Netflix on Friday, and it based on Mötley Crüe’s memoir The Dirt.

According to The New Orleans Advocate, crew member Louis DiVincenti has now claimed that, while working on set in March 2018, he was electrocuted by a power line. DiVincenti was working as a rigging grip during production when he was allegedly left with half of his body covered with third-degree burns.

DiVincenti claims he was passing metal pipes to other crew members at a New Orleans restaurant, when one touched a nearby power line causing an electrical current to arc “through his body and blew out through his right foot.” DiVincenti then allegedly spent seven weeks in the University Medical Center where he only had a two per cent chance of survival, and eventually had to get his right foot amputated.

A lawsuit has now been filed against the band and the streaming service, claiming they are liable for the accident because of a breach of health and safety precautions.

“Netflix and the producers of the movie The Dirt, including band members Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx, are liable for the production’s failure to address electrical hazards near the Munch Factory restaurant in the Lower Garden District,” the claim reads.

DiVincenti is reportedly seeking damages, including $1.8 million in medical bills.
