Area Schools Locked Up Tight As Police Searched Area For Armed Bandits
A tense afternoon for students in the Ardagh and Ferndale area of Barrie today. Barrie Police say they kept students indoors for a short time, while officers tried to track down robbery suspects in the area. Investigators say three men armed with handguns approached a parked u-haul van on Pass Court near Ardagh Drive, then assaulted and robbed the driver. The suspects are described as:

- Male, white
- Tall, thin build
- Armed with a hand gun
- Wearing a red bandanna covering his face and black gloves
Suspect #2
- Male, brown
- Thin build
- Armed with a hand gun
- Wearing dark clothing, black bandanna covering his face and black gloves
Suspect # 3
- Male, brown
- Heavy build
- Armed with a hand gun
- Wearing dark clothing, black bandanna covering his face and black gloves
- Investigators believe this incident not to be a random attack, and the investigation is ongoing
