Barrie Dragon Boat Festival

The 22nd annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is being held Saturday, August 15, 2026! Team Registration will open April 1, 2026!

About the Festival
The Barrie Public Library is the proud host of the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival held annually in beautiful Heritage Park. The festival brings teams together for a fun-filled day of camaraderie and fundraising while racing dragon boats on Kempenfelt Bay.

The Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is presented by Tim Hortons, our Title Sponsor. The festival is made possible by the support of our sponsors, volunteers, and community partners and teams. Between 2003 and 2024, the festival has raised over 2 million dollars for more than 60 charities-- including the Barrie Public Library's Future Branches Campaign.
