Traffic Charges Laid In Innisfil, Thanks To High-Tech Toy

Automated Licence Plate Reader Snags Alleged Suspended Driver

South Simcoe Police say they put a fancy new toy to good use. In their fleet of vehicles, police have a patrol car equipped with an Automatic Licence Plate Reader, with cameras that scan passing traffic looking for troublemakers. Police say this morning, the alarm sounded on their ALPR, just after 10:30 Monday morning, along IBR at the 400. Now a 39-year-old woman is looking at a charge of Driving Under Suspension.
