The OK Friday Barn Fair is a dynamic, community driven, art and farmers market held seasonally at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds. With a carefully restored 1930’s barn as a centerpiece, OK Friday offers a relaxed and cultural environment to shop and socialize.
In collaboration with Southern Georgian Bay Farmers Markets, OK Friday is a true farmer’s market which offers a wide range of farm fresh produce and a variety of ready-to-eat items, alongside local bakeries, artisanal producers, and craft makers.
Burl’s Creek is proud to name The Sharing Place Food Bank as a charity partner. The Sharing Place is the Orillia area’s largest and busiest food bank, operating since 1988.
VQA Ontario wines will be featured, with educational sampling, wine by the glass, and to-go bottle sales. A variety of talented musicians take to the handcrafted peacock stage weekly. Previous performers include Reuben & the Dark, Dan Mangan, Basia Bulet & Jason Collett. With plenty of green space to layout a blanket, the OK Friday is the ideal spot to start the weekend.
Kids activities include trail rides by horse and wagon, art lessons and jr. firefighter training by the Oro-Medonte Fire Department. Visited by up to 1000 people each week, OK Friday has quickly become the gathering place for Oro-Medonte. Whether it is date night, a stop on the cycle trail or a break on the highway drive. Stop by and enjoy the local talent on display, get to know your neighbours and experience the region.
