This Thursday It’s Jammin’ for Jamie With Honeymoon Suite!

It’s Bell Let’s Talk Day today. A day dedicated to speaking out and having conversations about mental health and the various the issues surrounding it. During the week, there have also been a number of Let’s Talk activities including the Start Talking Cup held Monday at the BMC featuring Pee Wee and Minor Midget AAA in a special fundraiser hockey match.

Tomorrow night, there’s another special event of honoring and celebrating the life of the late Jamie Turner as the annual Jammin’ for Jamie event takes place at the Roxy Theatre in Barrie. While celebrating Jamie’s life and love of music, Jammin’ for Jamie has been organized to increase awareness, improve perspectives and encourage people to start talking about mental illnesses in our local community. Tomorrow night’s show features Honeymoon Suite with special guests, One Knight’s Stand, and Too Nice. Proceeds from tomorrow night’s event will support the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Suicide Awareness Council, TEMA Centre Foundation in support of PTSD.
