Another reason to get snow tires, above and beyond promises of stopping power… they’ll also help your wallet. Finance Minister Charles Sousa this morning announced the province will force insurance companies to offer up discounts to those who put winter tires on their vehicles. While some companies already do offer lower rates if you’ve got snow tires installed, all of them will be compelled to do so as of January.
