RIDE Checks Keep South Simcoe Officers Busy Friday Night

355 drivers stopped; four suspended

Friday was the busiest night of the week for South Simcoe Police RIDE officers. More than 350 vehicles were stopped in various parts of Innisfil, 23 drivers were given a breath test, four had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded. A 40 year old Alcona man was charged with driving without a licence –  he apparently has never had one, and two men from Lefroy were charged with possession of marijuana.
