Province Doubling Number Of Grocers Selling Wine

Wine To Be Made Available Within Store Instead Of Separate Outlet

Here’s something for you to “wine” about.  The Ontario Liberals this morning announced wine will be made available on shelves of up to 300 grocery stores, doubling the number of shops you can currently buy a bottle. Not only that, but the wine can now be bought within the store proper, instead of a separate outlet beyond the checkout line. The first 70 stores to start selling wine will be announced in the fall. There are currently 150 independent and chain grocers with wine outlets across Ontario.
