Newmarket Fire Claims Life Of Elderly Woman

A 75 year old woman has died of injuries suffered in an apartment ire in Newmarket. Emergency crews were called Sunday afternoon to a building at Eagle and Prospect Streets. Several people were treated at hospital for smoke inhalation. York Regional Police say the fire, which is not considered suspicious, began in the victim’s apartment.
