Five Finger Discount Leads To Assault Charges at Barrie Pharmacy
Suspect Allegedly Assaulted Store Security After Being Caught in the Act
A Barrie man is up on charges after they say he roughed up store security. Around 4:30 yesterday afternoon Barrie Police got the call to a Wellington St. pharmacy where they say a man tried to steal two watches. Store security was holding the man while police made their way over, and they say the suspect lost control and began assaulting the security officer and another employee. Police showed up and say they had to restrain the man. The 21-year-old suspect now faces two counts of Assault and one of Theft, while the two employees received minor injuries.
