Walk This Way - Opening Doors For Women, One Step At A Time

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM, our community will come together for the annual “Walk This Way” charity walk, in support of Green Haven Shelter for Women. With the support of Royal LePage Orillia and the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, we will walk 3 km through the streets of Orillia—starting at the Orillia Public Library and ending with refreshments at Eclectic Café—to raise awareness and critical funds for women and children escaping violence.

This year, we have a clear and urgent goal: to raise $20,000 to purchase a generator for the shelter and help cover the costs of running our life-saving programs. Power outages can create dangerous and uncertain conditions for the women and children in our care. With a generator, we can ensure their safety and comfort while continuing to provide emergency shelter, trauma-informed support, and a secure place to rebuild their lives.
