Royal Ontario Museum Introduces WonderWorks

ROM welcomes families to a reimagined play-based learning space — a space that invites young children to experiment and connect with the Museum in a playful, interactive, and fun environment.
Just as children’s experiences of the world around us change as they grow, WonderWorks has taken the strength of learning and play that was at the foundation of our earlier gallery of discovery, and reimagined it, activating new and innovative approaches to family learning that create meaningful and memorable experiences at ROM for our young audiences. The entire gallery is a place for wonder — so fundamental to children’s learning — inviting free choice and exploration through a variety of engaging props, prompts, and play spaces.
WonderWorks primarily serves families with children 3 to 8 years old; however, all are welcome to play, explore, and learn. Gallery staff and volunteers are available to facilitate experiences in the space, ensuring a strong connection between play, learning, and collections in the Museum.
