Wynne Sets Deadline For Teacher/Support Staff Deals

Says Work-To-Rule Cannot Go On

As elementary teachers prepare take their work-to-rule campaign to another level next week, Premier Wynne has turned up the heat. She met with union reps for the teachers and support staff this morning. She says she told them the work-to-rules cannot go on; that “our children deserve better”. As a result, she says if agreements are not reached by November 1 or work-to-rule curtailed, school boards will be able to take measures such as docking pay of employees on job action, after 5 days notice.
