World, George Harrison’s Estate Not Impressed With Trump

Unauthorized use of song "offensive"

Donald Trump accepted the Republican Party’s presidential nomination last night, painting a picture of the US as a diminished and humiliated nation, a country spiralling out of control and yearning for someone to take aggressive action to change that. The world, looking in on this, was not impressed. The UK’s Daily Telegraph described the speech as “deeply pessimistic”. Former Russian chess champion Gary Kasparov said he’s heard this sort of speech a lot in the last 15 years and “trust me, it doesn’t sound any better in Russian.” George Harrison’s Estate was not impressed with his song ‘Here Comes The Sun’ being played as Ivanka Trump walked on stage to speak. In a Twitter message, it called use of the song “offensive”. Later, it sent another missive on twitter saying “If it had been Beware of Darkness, then we MAY have approved it!” A verse in the song goes:

Watch out now, take care,
Beware of greedy leaders
They’ll take you where you should not go,
While Weeping Atlas Cedars
They just want to grow
Beware of darkness
