August 12

Canadian Mental Health Association Simcoe County Presents, RSVP Annual Car Wash & BBQ Fundraiser. Stop in from 11-3 this afternoon at 15 Bradford St. Barrie.

The City of Barrie celebrates 7 years of Rhythmfest this weekend starting today the event begins at Holly Community Park, starting at 5pm. The event kicks up a notch tomorrow giving you a chance to travel the world with out leaving Heritage Park starting at 10 Saturday morning.

The OK Friday Barnfair is back on today, it’s a community driven art and farmers market at Burls Creek Event Grounds in Oro Medonte. It runs from 3-8p tonight.

The Gravenhurst Sidewalk Sale & Street Festival starts today through the historic downtown area. With live entertainment, kids activities and more until 7p tonight.

The Tragically Hip appear for their 2nd of 3 shows tonight at ACC.

Tomorrow it’s Rock95 Jazz on the Mountain at Horseshoe. A one day Festival with music all day long from some of Canada’s most promising up and coming musicians, as well as international performers. Kids under 12 are free, it all starts at 10am tomorrow morning.

 

August 13

Rock95 Jazz on the Mountain, it’s all day today at Horseshoe Resort. Family friendly event where kids 12 and under get in free. With a huge lineup of top international performers, as well as Canada’s most promising up and coming artists.

Celebrating 7 years of Rhythmfest in Barrie and today is a chance for you to travel the world with out leaving Heritage Park on waterfront. With a wide variety of music , food and merchandise in the vendor area. The Barrie Pipes and Drums presentaion gets everything started on the Heritage Park stage this morning.

Over 400 are lining Mississauga Street and downtown Orillia today for the 8th Annual Orillia Classic Car Show. Walk through and see an incredible collection of classics and live entertainment today.

The 5K Foamfest takes over Wasaga Beach today along Beach Area 2. Featuring a mix of foam, mud and water throughout the 5K course with over 22 obstacles in your path including a 50ft slip n’ slide. http://www.5kfoamfest.ca/locations/wasaga-beach/

Celebrate Gravenhurst today at their Street Festival & Sidewalk Sale. The historic downtown Gravenhurst area offers a bunch of things to do with the kids, take in some live entertainment and more until 3 this afternoon.

It’s the 30th Baysville Arts & Crafts Festival at Gritsmill Park, on until 3p this afternoon.

Look for another action packed night of racing at Sunset Speedway, Innisfil with the Super Late Model Series turning a special 75 lap feature, the visiting Outlaw Midgets will also be there. Opening green flag drops at 6p.

Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals with the CMRC Motocross Pro National Series catching slingin’ dirt and getting big air at RJ Motosport Park in Midhurst. See all the action from 9-5 today.

The 30th Riverfront Arts & Crafts Festival continues today at Gritsmill Park in Baysville.

It’s Wasaga Under Seige “A War of 1812 Experience” running today in Wasaga Beach from Nancy Island historic site. Commemorating the 202nd Anniversary of the sinking of the H.M.S. Featuring a re-enacments transporting you back to the war of 1812 until 4p this afternoon.

It will be an emotional night in Toronto with The Tragically Hip making their 3rd and final appearance at ACC tonight.

 

Monday is the 10th Annual Chase McEachern Memorial Golf Tournament at Barrie Golf & Country Club. Be there for noon registration time.

Wednesday take a trip to Discovery Harbour in Penetang for a Ghost Tour. Happening Wednesday’s all summer long, guided tours by candlelight through the historic site, starting at 9p.

Check out Sainte-Marie by Candlelight, a guided tour highlighting French and First Nations stories, this and every Thursday from 630-8 all summer long at Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons in Midland.
