WATCH: Metallica Rocks Jimmy Kimmel

Metallica was on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday. After playing an ear-splitting rendition of their new song “Atlas, Rise!”, the metal heroes dusted off an old classic, stomping through an epic rendition of Ride the Lighting‘s “For Whom the Bell Tolls.”

The band also chatted with Kimmel about being ‘metal Dads’, forcing their kids to listen to AC/DC, Guns ‘N Roses, the Ramones and Black Sabbath. Hammett, however, admitted that his kids had no interest in guitar and currently played piano, cello and violin. Guess it doesn’t matter what you do, even if you’re in Metallica, your kids won’t think you’re cool.
