WATCH: China’s Futuristic Straddling Bus
Awesome idea in theory...
Is there anything more frustrating than being stuck behind a bus? China has proposed a new bus that would eliminate the traffic caused by stop-and-go buses. It’s called the Transit Elevated Bus (TEB).
The bus would take up no space on the road and could carry more than a thousand passengers at a time.
I have a lot of questions. How will it deal with trucks, or bigger vehicles? What happens if someone is pulled over on the side of the road and a bus goes by? How much would these monster buses cost? How the heck would you make these buses wheelchair accessible?
