Wasaga Beach Traffic Stop Ends With Drug Charges Laid

Police Say Driver Had Pot But No Licence

Some drugs are off the streets and a Wasaga Beach man is up on charges after an early morning traffic stop. Huronia West OPP say they pulled a vehicle over around 3:00 yesterday morning, on Beachwood Rd near Mosley St. in Wasaga Beach. Police say they could smell the telltale odour of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a search allegedly turned up a quantity of pot. A 35-year-old man is up on charges including Obstructing Police and Driving Under Suspension, as officers say the guy provided a fake name to hide the fact he was unlicenced to drive.
