Wait List Fees For Daycare Being Scrapped

Wait list fees for a daycare spaces will come to an end September 1. Ontario will become the first province to ban the fees, which can range from as little as $10 to as much as $200. Parents had said they were frustrated and felt taken advantage of. Consider, too, that many parents would put their names on several lists to ensure their child could get in. This decision affects only licensed daycare facilities and home child care agencies.
