Volunteers Compete Million Dollar Donation To Orillia Hospital
Cheque Presentation At Gala Ends Eight Year Commitment By Volunteers Association
Orillia’s Soldier’s Memorial Hospital is issuing a hearty pat on the back to their volunteers, after the group fulfilled their million dollar pledge to the hospital. At a special ceremony recognizing volunteers last Thursday, the hospital’s volunteer association presented a $50,000 cheque to the OSMH Foundation, the final contribution to a million dollar pledge made in 2008. Also at the gala, 19 volunteers were recognized after they got a cumulative 20 thousand hours of service under their belts.
