Vladimir Putin Gives Steven Seagal Russian Passport
He hopes this will help "normalize" Russian/U.S. relations
President Vladimir Putin presented action star Steven Seagal with a Russian passport, which he awarded him earlier this month through a presidential decree.
Seagal is a big Putin fan. He called him, “one of the greatest world leaders if not the greatest world leader alive today” in a 2013 interview.

According to The Washington Post, Putin said he hoped offering Seagal Russian citizenship would help “normalize” relations with the United States.
