Violence Leads To Charges

The Victim Was Punched, Choked And Threatened

A Barrie man is facing a long list of charges after police were called to a home in Belle Ewart. South Simcoe Police say a dispute regarding belongings that had not been moved out when one of the tenants did, started an argument that became violent.  When the suspect returned to collect his belongings he apparently entered the house with fists swinging.  Police say the victim was punched in the face, pushed to the ground, choked and had his life threatened.  The suspect was later contacted by police and he turned himself in. One of the conditions while he awaits his court date is staying away from the victim…. who by the way is his brother.
