Wednesday – Two men have been arrested in connection to bank robberies in Barrie. Investigators last night tracked down two men in a stolen vehicle, believed to be involved in the robbery of both a Scotia Bank on January 6th, and a CIBC on the 11th. Police say when they pulled the vehicle over on Dunlop St. at Boys St. around 10:30 last night, both suspects fled on foot, but were caught in short order. A 16-year-old Sarnia man and a 24-year-old from Alberta have been charged with the two robberies in Barrie, but investigators think the pair may be connected to similar crimes in York and Peel Region, along with Toronto.
