The 95 Days of Summer got off to a cool, wet start especially through June, but the month of July has been starting to make up for the lost month, and this week is going to be one of the hottest of the season.

When temperatures get up into the 30’s in the summer months, we should really treat the extremely hot days the same way we treat the extreme cold weather days in the winter. Instead of having a “snow” day, we could just have “severe beautiful weather” alerts, and any day such as today, work would be cancelled, because obviously you can’t work when it’s this beautiful outside, and everyone should just simply head to the nearest beach, or shady park and enjoy the day.

The way it stands now is the only way to enjoy a beautiful day away from work is to call in sick, and who is going to believe you are REALLY sick on a day like today? So there you go, the only answer is to bring in legislation to make it happen, and that will probably only happen on the day that somewhere else that’s VERY hot freezes over!
