Tory Leadership Hopeful Kellie Leitch Beefing Up Security

Says there was attempted break-in at her home

Federal Conservative leadership candidate and Simcoe-Grey MP Kellie Leitch says someone interested in doing her harm was handing out her home address online, and someone may have used that information to try to break into her Creemore home early Saturday morning. She says her home alarm was set off. OPP say they did investigate an alarm at the home of a local politician but found no evidence of entry into the home. Leitch has been criticized for her views on immigration which, in some cases, mirror those of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. She says steps are being taken to beef-up security at her home and on the campaign.
