Three Women Sought Following Barrie Distraction Theft

Police Say One Distracted Employees While The Other Two Filled Their Bags

We’ve got some new suspect photos copied and pasted to our website today. Barrie police passed them along as part of an investigation into a mid December theft. They say three women went into the National Sports store on Bayfield St, back on December 14th. Officers claim one of the suspects tripped the alarm to distract the employee from the fact that the other two were hiding clothing in their bags. When the trio went to leave, the alarm tripped again, but everyone brushed it off. The three ladies then took off, never t be seen again. They are described as:

Suspect #1:

  • Female, white
  • 25-30 yrs.
  • 5’5”, thin build
  • Long curly brown hair
  • Wearing a black winter jacket, black and white sweater, black pants, and brown fur boots.

Suspect # 2:

  • Female, white
  •  25-35 yrs.
  • 5’7″, medium build
  • Dark hair pulled back into a bun
  • Wearing checkered hooded parka, white shirt, blue jeans, brown work boots and carrying a Coach purse.

Suspect # 3:

  • Female,white
  • 25-30 yrs.
  • 5’5″, thin build
  • Long brown hair
  • Wearing ¾ length grey jacket with fur on the hood, black sports bra, black tights, brown boots and carrying a brown purse.
