A dollar can’t buy you much these days, but you might be able to get a house in Toronto out of it.
The 130-year-old home located at 450 Pape Ave., includes a whopping 25,000 square feet of property. The photos in the Century 21 listing display a huge house with a beautiful staircase but walls that look severely damaged, listed for $1.

According to Metro News, the home was originally built by William Harris, which was then purchased by the Salvation Army in 1930 to shelter single mothers. In 2010 the home received heritage status as the city had plans to convert it into affordable housing. Rob Ford scrapped the plan and in 2011, promoting The Salvation Army to sell the house for $1.7 million. The property has been bought by numerous people since.

Current owners of the house want to convert it into a 28-unit condominium, but have it listed to see if anyone else had ideas on what to do with the property.
