Things Are Heating Up

Heat Warning Hits Region... Again

Another heat wave is on the move through our region and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit wants you to take it easy. They recommend not overdoing it when the temperature rises above 31 or the humidex exceeds the 40 degree mark, as that could lead to heat stroke. The recommend you drink plenty of fluids, stay indoors or someplace shady, and avoid physical activity. Infants, the elderly and those with chronic lung conditions should take extra precautions. Temperatures are expected to hit in the 30’s for the next 4 days.
