Pet Store Theft Suspect Caught on Camera

Police Search for Pet Store Shoplifter Barrie Police Service is looking to identify a female who was captured on video stealing multiple items from at north end pet store last month. On Friday, April 20th, 2018 a female attended Kat’s Pet Store located at 420 Leacock Drive, in the City of Barrie. She appeared evasive to store staff, was seen tucked away down one of the aisles and left the store without purchasing anything.  Video surveillance was reviewed and it showed the female select three items in the one area, placing them all in her jacket pocket before exiting the store. Description:

  • Female, white
  • 5’6″, heavy build
  • straight, medium length hair with black roots and blonde ends on the right side and blue ends on the left side
  • Wearing glasses, a long dark trench coat and black boots

SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE

Five people were sent to hospital following a head-on collision Monday night in Bradford.

Officers were dispatched around 8:30 pm to the area of County Rd. 4 north of the 8th Line for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving injuries.

Preliminary investigation suggests a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and struck a southbound vehicle. The Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire Department had to extricate the people inside the northbound vehicle.

The 20-year-old Bradford man who was driving the northbound vehicle and his front seat passenger were sent to a hospital in Toronto.

The 36-year old Innisfil woman who was driving the southbound vehicle was sent to a local hospital along with her two passengers.

The investigation is continuing.

A 57-year-old Bradford man was held for a bail hearing after being charged with assaulting his wife.

Police were called to a Bradford home around 5:00 pm Monday for a report of a domestic incident.

A 55-year-old woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shoving match with her husband escalated.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspect was nowhere to be found.

At 10:18 pm, police were called to a Holland St. West parking lot for a dispute over a cab fare. Officers arrived and were able to identify the person refusing to pay as the man wanted for the earlier domestic incident.

He was arrested for assault and transported to South Division.

On Saturday, June 2 around 6:00 p.m., police were called to a plaza in Stroud for a report of breaking glass and an audible alarm.

When officers arrived, they found the front door of a convenience store had been smashed open. The store was checked and it was determined the suspects had already fled with several items.
