The HEAT is on!

After a relatively cool, wet month of June, we finally turned up the jets this past weekend prompting the first Heat Warning in our regional area of the summer season.

Many flocked to beach’s, backyard pools, local waterfront and parks areas all in a bid to try to keep cool. Some people just stayed in over the weekend with air conditioning running non-stop.

You hear a lot of…”it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity”. For those of us who embrace the heat, it feels like for the first time this summer, it’s actually been warm!

Whether you love it or hate it, the end of the three day scorcher will come after today. Temperature’s are expected to drop back to the low to mid-20’s with less humidity at least for the next few days.
