Taser Used To Subdue Home Invasion Suspect

Midland Man Now Facing 8 Charges

A 911 call that was left off the hook lead police to a home in midland Monday.  After arriving at the home in the downtown, police noticed the window on the front door had been smashed. Once inside, police say a man attempted to push an officer down the stairs and continued fighting to the point that police were forced to use a taser to gain control of the suspect and place him under arrest. Further investigation revealed the man had forced his way into the home and was threatening the occupants. A 29 year old Midland man is now facing 8 charges, including forcible entry and possession of a weapon… cause he had a large can of bear deterrent spray with him.
