Barrie Theft Suspect Ran From Loss Prevention

Barrie Police say their latest shoplifting suspect ran from the scene when the steaks got too high. Around 2:30 Friday afternoon staff at a Wellington St. grocery store claim they spied a guy select a few cuts of meat from the butcher section, then headed out of the store without paying. When loss prevention officers tried to collar him, they say the suspect dropped his meats and ran. The suspect is described as:

  • 6’0”
  • medium build
  • Short brown hair
  • wearing glasses
  • Wearing a black hat, dark shirt with a light coloured stripe on the left side and plaid shorts.
