Striking Workers Make Appearance at Barrie Job Site
Police Brought In To Deal With Peaceful Incident
They had to bring in police to diffuse a tense situation with some striking workers. Around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, Barrie Police got the call to a construction site on Yonge at Mapleview Drive, with reports some striking union members refused to leave. Police point out there were no threats or violence during the interaction, but add the Local 183 Labour Union members refused to leave, disrupting construction on site. The workers left peacefully, no charges laid.
