Stolen Dog Leads To List Of Charges Against Barrie Man

Cops Say Suspect Was High On Meth During Arrest

A Barrie man is up on a slew of charges after a dog was taken. Before 3:00 yesterday, a Bayfield St. resident called the cops to report the family pup was taken, and thanks to some video surveillance, they knew who did it. Police got to task tracking down a suspect, but they got lucky; Around 11:30 last night, police got the call of a trespasser on a Worsley St. property, which just happened to be the suspect police were looking to track down. They say he was pretty high on meth, and probably wasn’t aware of what was going on, but cops say he was in possession of the dog owner’s debit visa card too. After a check up at the hospital, the 20-year-old man was taken downtown to be charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property, and Probation Violation, while the dog was returned safely home.
