Sticky Fingers In Cookstown Result In Charges

The Canine Unit Was Used To Track Suspect Down

The canine unit had to be brought in last night, after security at a Cookstown mall noticed a couple of people leave a store without paying for merchandise. South Simcoe Police say a man and woman left the store and walked outside where  the male suspect was seen taking off in a vehicle and the female was observed running into a bushy area. A 26 year old Toronto woman was discovered and charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen property and wearing a disguise. No word yet on her accomplice.
