Stabbing On Bayfield Street

Victim suffered non-life threatening wounds

An argument between a pedestrian and a driver escalated into a stabbing Wednesday night on Bayfield Street in Barrie.  Police say the pedestrian did not like how close the driver came to home while making a turn onto Grove Street. The passenger door was kicked and an altercation ensued. The driver suffered stab wounds to his head and abdomen. The pedestrian, a 32 year old Barrie man, suffered minor injuries as a result of the fight. He’s been charged with:

  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Breach of Recognizance
