Sports Illustrated is Breaking the Mold in 2016 Swimsuit Edition

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is a celebration of the female figure and it’s still a pretty big deal when the annual issue comes out. Well, it’s due out this month and there are a few things you can look forward to in this year’s issue.

Ronda Rousey will be featured again (this is her second SI Swimsuit Edition)…and that bathing suit she’s wearing…it’s painted on.

This is Ashley Graham. She was featured as the first Plus-sized model in Sports Illustrated in an advertisement in last year’s edition. This year, she’s officially SI’s first curvy swimsuit model. You can follow her on Instagram @theashleygraham. She’s asking for your help to become SI’s rookie of the year (which would guarantee her a spot in next year’s swimsuit edition).

56-year-old Nicola Griffin will not be featured as a swimsuit model, but on one of the advertisement pages for the brand Swimsuits for All. She’ll be appearing in a three-page ad for the company and says she’s never felt sexier. I’ll say.

The 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is due out this month.
