South Simcoe Police Breathalyser Had a Busy Night

Two DUI Charges Laid Five Minutes Apart

Two drunk driving arrests, a mere five minutes apart. South Simcoe Police were out and about around 11:00 Friday night, when they spotted a vehicle allegedly swerving and speeding along Highway 27, and pulled it over near Cookstown. A 42-year-old Barrie woman was hit with a Driving While Intoxicated charge. Five minutes later, a few blocks over at Yonge St and 14th Line, another vehicle was pulled over after police say it was driving erratically. After a short chat with the driver, police charged a 58-year-old guy from Bradford with Drunk Driving. Meanwhile, a third driver had their licence suspended for three days on Sunday morning, after police in Bradford say he registered a WARN on the roadside breath test.
