Some Simcoe-Muskoka Hospitals To Offer Discounted Parking Passes

Province Trying To Trim Parking Costs

The province is trying to take a bite out of hospital parking costs. The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care announced today that they’ll soon have some hospitals across Simcoe-Muskoka provide discounted parking passes. The move would apply to hospitals that charge more than ten bucks a day for parking, and passes would be available in 5, 10, and 30-day increments. They’d be transferable between patients and visitors, and would allow in-and-out privileges. Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie already offers 10 usage, weekly, and monthly passes at discounted rates, while charging $15 a day.
