Retweeting leads to apprehension of theft suspect
Barrie Police are crediting social media with a recent arrest. A few Sundays ago, video surveillance picked up a man allegedly swiping a cologne box from the cosmetics counter at Sears on Bayfield Street. We posted a still image of the guy on our website, and it hit twitter too. Barrie Police say a gas station attendant in Alcona recognized the guy, and now a 39-year-old Belle Ewart man is up on charges.
